Winter Lawn Preparation

a fall landscape
Now that winter is upon us, the best thing that you can do for your lawn is to apply a winter fertilizer. Yes, your grass won’t grow in the winter, but still, fertilizing your lawn is one of the most important steps to take before the first frost.

Applying a winter fertilizer will ensure cool-season grasses - fescues, Kentucky, and perennial ryegrass - are healthy in the spring. The winter fertilizing will strengthen your grasses root system for the cold months ahead. Then when spring finally get here your lawn will have a quick jump-start.
