In this review I have three Ariens zero turn mowers for you to check out. I will have an image of each, a brief description, features and the specifications plus a link. I will also talk about the manufacturer Ariens.
The zero turn radius lawnmower was designed with the professional in mind. With steering handles and a motor on each rear wheel, (for forward and reverse) it give the mower the ability to turn on a dime.
Zero turn lawn mowers are built to last. When they have to work seven day a week all day they have to be built better. They have bigger cutting decks, with heavier steel. And stronger and faster motors. The top end mower can cut grass at 13 MPH. With the wider deck, the speed and the ability to turn around in it's own shadow, you will cut your mowing time in half if not more.
With the cutting deck in full view, it allows you to cut closer. This will mean less weed-eating and less pushing a small mower in those hard to reach places. And it's a pain to have to weed-eat after you are finished mowing

You can do more with these mowers than cut grass. But, you have to buy the attachments. The most popular is the bagging system. It come with two or three buckets. Ariens and Gravely offer powered and non-powered bagger. Powered baggers have a belt-driven powered blower that forces grass into the bags. Commercial-quality bagger dump from seat using a lever to tilt the collector so you don't have to get off machine to dump clippings.
Zero turn mowers has a variety of rear attachments to chose from. They include a dump cart, spreader, plug aerator, lawn dethatcher, roller or sprayer. Some zero turn mowers can accommodate a front-mounted blade or even a snow blower or brush for clearing snow or debris

A spark flew and a legend was born. It was 1933 and their Brillion Iron Works was gone. They had worked hard over the course of 40 years to build that business – only to close it when times got tough during the Great Depression.
But Henry Ariens and his three sons were not deterred by losing the foundry just a few years earlier. They still had plenty of inventive ideas and a simple but sturdy garage in which to turn their plans into reality.
With a $1,500 loan borrowed against Henry's life insurance policy and another $1,500 raised by selling shares of stock to a family member, the four men got back to work...
Ariens Company began when Henry Ariens and his three sons – Steve, Leon and Francis –developed the first American-made rotary tiller at a time when other manufacturers were experimenting with imported tillers.
It took many years of experimentation, education and perseverance before rotary tilling became accepted as a proven agricultural tool. The Ariens family conducted educational programs to teach commercial growers, nurserymen and landscapers how the new Ariens Model A Tiller, powered with an air-cooled engine, "plows as it discs as it harrows."
Many commercial tiller models followed, all aimed at improving output for vegetable growers around the country. Ariens Company introduced the more compact Model B Tiller, the Roller-Tiller, the Multi-Tiller Tractor Tiller, the Jitterbug single-row front rotary tiller and the Tillivator RC for celery growers in Florida.
A look at the history of the Ariens Company. Produced in conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Ariens Company in 2008
